First time food was good, fish was a little greasy. Prices a little high. Desert was really good, the cheesecake!

Eclectic environment with good drinks, food, and attentive service. We plan to return to try some of the other interesting entrees. Check it out - eat at local non-corporate businesses.

Silvertron Cafe is one of Birmingham's best venues for excellence in cuisine, and also for the reasonable cost of entrees.Intense, enduring and quite beautiful memories are commonly forged and bonded here, especiallby her younger patrons who had once ventured here, while they are still newly in-love. And moreoften than not, it is those who once forged just such intense, enduring bonds here, and who will privail, and will periodically and forever after return to The Silvertron periodically by the same loving couples, because this place, truly has a magic about it, which it freely shares with those with whom it has bonded.

OMG!! I immediately started salivating the minute I read the menu. I highly recommend the Fried Cheese! Much better than Cats. I'd see it again and again.

Cozy diner with a variety of menu items, from tacos to pasta to burgers. The food was good, but a little over salty. Brunch seems to be a popular time to eat here, so expect a small wait. Family friendly at brunch, but would be a good place to get drinks later at night.

Grits, bacon, sausage and fancy grits. So delicious! Always this place. Marco (the owner) is wonderful too. He does so much for our community.

I came here a long time ago on a first date...it's the neatest little place. The food is always good. It's always a little dim inside, so the atmosphere is always interesting. You can't go wrong at the Silverton!

I've been a few times. I've always liked what I got but every time I go but my dinner companions often don't like what they get. Maybe I'm a lucky chooser. The service is often really slow.

Silvertron is me and my boyfriend's favorite date place. It feels very Birmingham-y. They have local art and they're always playing good jazz music. We almost always get Nonna's pasta, but today I branched out and got Grouper Fish and Chips. I figured it would be good, and it was actually the best fish and chips I've had outside of London. Very golden and crispy. I hope Silvertron stays in Bham for many many many years to come!

This food at this place is absolutely fantastic. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere is amazing. It is my very favorite restaurant!

I have enjoyed almost everything on the menu. This grilled chop was fantastic. Don't forget the Bread Pudding. Best in town.

Best place to go. Recommend see waitress Kassie or Jose. If go to bar ask for Jose. Made best drink ever.

When you order fried mushrooms .... get ready for a large hand battered helping ... ..and the ranch taste like it was just made. Brunch is good and Mamosa's are plentiful. The owner really cares about his customers. He came to our table to see how things were going. Did not even know who he was until upon leaving....and his picture was on the wall. Nice relaxed place.

Excellent food and excellent service. The prices are reasonable. Two strands of hair in the pancakes never hurt nobody.....

Silvertron is one of Birmingham's greatest local restaurants. The chef/owner has an amazing flavorful menu using fresh ingredients. Prices are right on target. Serving staff is always great and we love eating here!

The food is excellent! Try the white chocolate bread pudding. The atmosphere is also perfect!

I have been coming to Silvertron since I was a kid. It has changed hands since then, but it is still just as good. It is a charming, neighborhood cafe with a diverse menu ranging from Italian to Tex-Mex and all the American in between. If you like spicy ginger drinks, try the Birminghammer.

We love Silvertron! We usually get take out but it’s always great. We can always find something for whatever mood we are in with the extensive assortment of foods they have. The food is always delicious!

I absolutely LOVE Silverton! I get the most for my money, but top quality masterpieces! Their orange rolls are AMAZING! If you have not been try everything! My next adventure is pasta night!!

Such a throw back in time! Love the place. Food was wonderful and you have to try the home cut onion rings.. Over the top good!

Monday night is pasta night at Silvertron. My go to is Nona Pasta. Pecan cream sauce is the best.And this last visit I left my sweater behind. Marco took it upon himself to find me on Facebook messenger to let me know. Sweet.

Excellent service, amazing food, and a great, classic interior. The Steaks Benedict had the best poached eggs I've ever had.

Steak and cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries and my husband had the mini steak sandwiches with garlic mashed potatoes both were great! Bathroom rooms clean but bad urine oder to over come.

Appetizer: Salsa and Chips...Tomato based salsa looked and tasted like it was at least a day old. Had a taste like the inside of piece of Zots candy. It had a burn to the tongue. Orange jalapeno salsa was pretty good. Very, very sweet! Guacamole was nothing special, no heat or flavor. There was also a dollop of sour cream which I didn't really understand. My grouper tacos had really good flavor but the slaw tasted like yesterday's. We were literally the first people there Friday night so I'm not sure if they use leftovers early and then bring out the fresh stuff later for the crowds. My husband had the blue burger. He said nothing special. He's had the same at backyard burgers. We've tried 11 different restaurants over the past 11 weeks and unfortunately this is one to which we won't be returning.

I love the idea of different food. Like food you would find in D.C. or bigger cities. Only thing is y'all should defiantly put on menu a description of the food. Like pancakes were awful. Didn't take but one bite. They were worse then buckwheat pancakes. I just didn't like the fact that the TO GO menu or online menu has no descriptions of what the meals are, what they consist of, etc. Other then that employees are great. Especially the hostess and the guy that is at bar. They have lunch till 2:30 it would be great if they had more unhealthy options that are cheaper for us. Also I think on pasta Mondays the pasta does not seem fresh but that aside its still good. I will always go there especially since I'm so close. Also one more thing. Open a smoothy section. They are easy to make and very profitable. I love smoothies and y'all could do for summers. Would make great money and great business!

Great food and great atmosphere. We had Dominique as our waitress and she was upbeat and helpful. The Fried Cheese and Carnitas Tacos were tasty and I will be making more trips to Silvertron Cafe.

Laid back neighborhood establishment that has a surprising appeal to people outside Birmingham. Popular fare without the franchise feel of a Ruby Tuesday or a Logan's. Tasty breakfast dishes are my favorite. Also good are the burgers and sides. Excellent entree salads with a more than usual choice of meat, chicken or fish toppings. Vegetarian friendly. Owner Marco is what really makes this place special. Skilled restauranteur and a good guy. He is devoted not only to Silvertron but the community as well.

I had the steak salad, the taste is great. However, the meat portion is skimpy next I need to order with extra steak. Hubby had the steak taco , he sayed was very filling and delicious.

This is an incredible restaurant. My wife and I have eaten here for years and have tried lots of things on in the menu and have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is great and the staff is polite. Try the fried mushrooms!

Casual restaurant in a nice neighborhood. The service is great and food is always very good. The atmosphere is relaxed, and you don't feel rushed. Nice place for lunch, brunch or dinner.

This is my favorite cocktail place in Birmingham. They're amazing and reasonably priced.

A rather strange but tasty mix of cuisines on the menu. There really is a little of something for everyone if your group can't decide where they want to go. Consistency of the food quality can vary at times, but I've always liked my meals there.

I'm here almost every third Friday when they have dinner specials and participate in the "Third Friday in Forest Park" ...all the galleries stay open later and local stores and restaurants hang local art. Great pastas. The cheese balls are a must for an app. Think mozzarella sticks but better.

Nice place to dine. The only problem with this place is the acoustics. You feel like you are sitting in a barrel. The music is oldies 40s. Breakfast is really good.

Quaint cafe with a great menu. We went for brunch. They even accommodated some weird food requests from my table. Evan was a great waiter.
